Roman
The Roman’s used underfloor heating extensively and spread the practise throughout their empire (introducing the practise to Great Britain circa 400 BC) as they expanded their dominion.
The Romans used a system of networks under floors where they circulated hot air venting it though the walls so the floors and walls were both heated. This form of heating was strictly for the wealthy as slaves were needed to constantly tend the furnaces.
